The Board of FirstWave Cloud Technology Limited has been established to provide a blend of qualifications, skills and experience required to manage a company in a cloud-based technology environment. The Company’s aim in determining board membership is to create a balanced and informed group to assist the company in making decisions relating to all corporate and governance matters.
John brings significant experience in the technology sector, business operations and Board leadership. He has held positions including Inaugural Chair of the Australian Rugby League Commission from 2012 to 2018 and Managing Director and CEO of ASX listed technology company, Data#3 Limited, from 1996 to 2015. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Uniquest Pty Ltd, the commercialisation company of the University of Queensland, and Stadiums Queensland, the owner and operator of the Queensland Government’s $1.8 billion investment in elite and community stadia and entertainment assets.
Scott has been in the IT industry since the mid-1980s and holds formal qualifications in Engineering. He is a Co-founder of Lidcam Technology and Channelworx and prior to these positions he worked in corporate sales at Logical Solutions, the leading reseller of Apple products at the time. Channelworx, a leading IT distribution business, was acquired by US-listed IT giant Avnet in November 2007. In November 2009, Scott was involved in the formation of a new IT security business, IPSec, where he also serves as Chairman Data Classification.
Paul has a successful history of setting up new businesses in the IT industry in Australia and overseas. Since moving to Australia in 1989, he has been involved with the IT industry in various senior roles. Paul also runs part of the largest listed Australian enterprise software company, TechnologyOne. Paul has a strong background in IT security, application software, software development, outsourcing, cloud computing and transactional systems. His roles have included establishing MessageLabs in Australia, Galileo in New Zealand, setting up and selling a successful SAP Consultancy and growing business at a leading HRMS software company.
Ms Stephens previously held the position of Company Secretary and Head of Legal and Risk at Hills Limited. Ms Stephens has wide experience in corporate governance, risk management and investor relations. Gai also has significant experience in the legal, regulatory and tax aspects of acquisitions, divestments and strategic alliances.
